Find Your roof's Pitch: E-Z-Pitch Finder

Here are a few things to keep in mind:

Newer homes (less than 20 years old) were built with mostly 6 pitch.
For homes built in the late 60's to the mid 80's 4 pitch is common.
Older homes have a large range of pitch used: It's very common to see a mix of 8 pitch and 12 pitch. The difference is: 8 looks scary to walk on, 12 you couldn't walk on it.
Some homes use a variety of pitches, mark down which one is most common. If you have 2 that are equally used, choose a pitch that is in between them.
